WAYS to HELP WATERS of the EARTH!

In communities
1. Love Peace Harmony Water Project-join many others in sending love to local waterways!
3. Conduct your own river clean up, using the model from this program in Georgia (you can search locally too with land conservancy's or watershed groups-they're easy to organize!).

With YOU! Start with just a few changes and notice how you feel.
4. Be aware of the SOURCE of your food (how far it traveled to get to you, how much water is typically used for growing , are they sustainable practices (e.g. fisheries), were chemicals used in the process of growing/harvesting that won't serve your body, the land and water well, etc.)
5.  Are your clothes healthy for you, the land and water? They are all connected. Some plants (e.g. cotton) not only use a lot of water but are chemically intensive to grow. Do your clothes come from a country that doesn't have protective laws for their waterways and can dump polluted water (from dying your clothing) into a local stream or the ocean?
6. Minimize your consumption of 'things' and packaging.
7. Be aware that your choices have an effect on water.
8. Get out on the water and give love and gratitude!
9. Take time to learn from the many teachings water gives us in every moment.
10. Bring others to awareness of water
11. Celebrate World Water Day (every day and moment!), March 22nd

WATER QUALITY (drinking, filtration & river data)

1. Environmental Working Group's Tap Water Guide (put in your zip code and find the report on your local municipal drinking water supply).

2. How do I get my drinking water tested?
          A. One company of many that has certified labs in various states of the U.S.
                                                               http://www.watercheck.com/products.html
          B. Go to your local/state extension website such as this one in Pennsylvania, which
               have a certified testing lab.

3. How do I find data on my local stream, river or lake? There's not (yet) a one-stop show for this. Sometimes you'll need to contact your local watershed monitoring group, and your state department of environmental protection should also have data online for viewing. Here are some other sites.
      b. U.S. EPA Database
      c.  NOAA Data (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration)

4. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Reports on Water Quality
5. Water filtration:
            Ph'ion water devices
            Structured Water Devices
            Life Straw
