About Tara

Greetings and thank you for visiting!

Trained as an aquatic scientist and environmental educator, I have an M.S. in Conservation Ecology & Sustainable Development from the University of Georgia’s Odum School of Ecology. My interests are in science communication and empowering the public to participate in scientific data collection for decision making. I lean towards connecting to and using the soul in all I do on the planet and enjoy teaching all ages about the earth and creating meaningful experiences that bring people closer in a reverent relationship with our planet. I have assisted individuals, groups, other than humans (wildlife, pets), families, environmental educators and scientists, teachers, and non-profit environmental organizations in their interests to improve their existence (relieving stress and depression about what we see on the planet) and the existence of the earth. 

I have spent over 18 years in the research and environmental education fields.  With a focus on freshwater stewardship and sustainability, I travel the world educating others how to connect with, sustain and understand the planet’s water resources on the physical and soul levels. My interests spread wide from marine turtle conservation, landscape design, environmental non-profits, streamside forests, community conservation, Nature therapy and nurturing, youth leadership and more!  Here's my CV of what i've been up to!


I am deeply committed to uplifting the earth and all life here, so that we and the earth can continue to be 'light and bright.'  We are all connected on this path, and I am so honored to be here with you. The blog posts are focused on my work in watersheds (rivers), but I am interested in uplifting all inner and outer ecosystems of the earth.
